The difference between the semi-steel material and the rubber material lies in the exposed part, and the directly heated part is turned into a steel material, which naturally alleviates the problem of heat aging. However, whether it is semi-steel or rubber, they all have a certain life. In general, the life of rubber valves is 3 to 4 years, while that of semi-steel is slightly later.
Semi-steel material
However, the meaning of the semi-steel material does not seem to be large, because the life of the rubber valve is equivalent to the service life of the tire, and the semi-steel material is not too long. So whether it is rubber or semi-steel, you need to replace it when you change the tires. No one will change the new one or two years later, and then go to replace the valve.
All steel material
If you want to use the same valve for a long time, then all-steel and all-aluminum materials are the first choice. Metal-made valves are not easily oxidized and airtight. Their life span is two to three times that of rubber valves, and the price is five to eight times.
All steel and all aluminum are similar in terms of life and air tightness. Why is all aluminum more expensive than all steel? All steel material, compared with all-aluminum material, has a very fatal shortcoming that it will rust, seriously affecting its appearance, and even affect its life.
All aluminum alloy
In addition, the all-aluminum material is lighter in weight, and is the lightest of these materials, while the all-steel material is the heaviest. The four add up to about 150g, while the all-aluminum is only about 50g, just like a The gap between apples and an A4 paper.
The lighter weight makes it easier to balance and eliminates the need to assemble more counterweights. In contrast, the unsprung mass is lighter, but the gap is almost negligible and does not have to be tangled.
Which one did I choose last? I chose semi-steel material because there is no rubber material in the store, otherwise I will choose rubber material. Why not choose a metal material? Although they will last longer, the replacement period of the rubber material is synchronous with the cycle of changing the tires, and the cost is no more than forty or fifty.
Although the current metal material can be used for a very long life and does not even need to be replaced, its position for sealing is still rubber, and there is a risk of aging. In the end, you thought it was used permanently. In the end, there was a problem. You had to change the valve again and re-balance the work. The working hours didn’t know how many rubber valves I bought.
Don't think that the valve on the car is similar to that on our bicycle. You can change it at will. Because the weight is different, even small surgery such as changing the valve should be rebalanced.
